Database interaction / flexibility
DART's design methodology is a Multi-Tier Architecture that can utilize any ODBC compliant database, giving it flexibility and the power to communicate with most traditional business databases. DART can also be interfaced with non-traditional databases, through its DART Connector platform, in cases where that may be a requirement.

In the case of ERP business architecture platforms, they present a special kind of challenge. Typically, many software packages are not universally plug compatible in an ERP environment. For example, an Oracle ERP database will often present challenges for other programs and solutions other than Oracle ERP Business Suite. Often manufacturing firms are confronted with large customizing tasks to try to implement third party software solutions, and frequently require substantial modifications before they can interact with the system's data effectively. DART's methodology addresses this issue, and can seamlessly integrate with Oracle ERP, and other ERP business solutions.

Alphametrics has solved the integration challenge in its design and methodology of transforming data with its Connector for the Oracle ERP database, and has proven highly effective in Oracle ERP environments. In many organizations DART may need to interact with other ERP databases in the future, and adapt its Connector, and has been designed to meet the needs of dynamic change in the manufacturing business.
